Volleyball Game Preview: Harvard-Westlake Wolverines vs. Lancaster Eagles

The Harvard-Westlake Wolverines are taking a road trip to face off against the Lancaster Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Harvard-Westlake made easy work of Calabasas and carried off a 3-0 win.

Harvard-Westlake never let Calabasas on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-15.

Lancaster not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024. Everything went their way against Palmdale as Lancaster made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

While Lancaster won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 26-24.

Harvard-Westlake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-6.

Everything went Harvard-Westlake's way against Lancaster in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Harvard-Westlake made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harvard-Westlake since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
