Baseball Recap: Central Columbia Comes Up Short

If Central Columbia was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Milton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluejays fell just short of the Danville Ironmen by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Ironmen recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Central Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Danville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Coincidentally, Central Columbia and Danville will both be playing Midd-West the next time they take the field. The Ironmen will host the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bluejays will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
