Christian Richards commands the offense for Tigers win

Recap: Douglas County Tigers vs. New Manchester Jaguar

After losing to the New Manchester Jaguar the last time they met, the Douglas County Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Douglas County strolled past New Manchester with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Douglas County.

Douglas County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christian Richards, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richards has scored all season. Marquacious Wright was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Douglas County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for New Manchester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Paulding County at 5:00 p.m. on January 27th. Paulding County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Douglas County is ranked 112th). As for New Manchester, they will head out on the road to take on Newnan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Newnan is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
