Basketball Recap: Chief Sealth Takes a Loss

Chief Sealth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 65-48 fall against the Ballard Beavers. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Beavers are ranked 127th).

Chief Sealth's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Ballard, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Chief Sealth will venture away from home to challenge Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Franklin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 games. As for Ballard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Ballard is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
