Baseball Game Preview: Castle View Sabercats vs. Legend Titans

Castle View hasn't had much luck against Legend recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Sabercats will be playing at home against the Titans at 4:15 p.m.

Friday just wasn't the day for Castle View's offense. They came up short against Regis Jesuit on Friday, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Legend hadn't done well against Rock Canyon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Titans came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 7-4.

Legend got a great performance from Parker Klenovich as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Klenovich also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Titans are 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Jacob Fladebo was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Colten Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Legend always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory got Legend back to even at 10-10. As for Castle View, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
