Basketball Recap: Classen SAS Falls Despite Big Games from Mike Dugas and Josiah Morales

Classen SAS suffered their closest loss since February 3, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Midwest City Bombers by a score of 48-45. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Bombers are ranked 22nd).

Classen SAS's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Josiah Morales, who posted 14 points and three steals, and Mike Dugas, who put up 13 points and three steals. Morales has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Jayden Pullen was another key player, putting up six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Classen SAS and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Midwest City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Classen SAS will square off against Western Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midwest City, they are taking a road trip to take on Duncan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
