Basketball Recap: Dunnellon Drops Highest Score of Season Against Strawberry Crest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dunnellon). They walked away with a 75-68 win over the Strawberry Crest Chargers on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dunnellon had a senior duo take command as Eli Nelson dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds and Tre'Quori Rollerson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Randy Jackson Jr, who posted 12 points.

Dunnellon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Dunnellon's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Strawberry Crest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunnellon will venture away from home to take on West Port at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Strawberry Crest, they will head out on the road to challenge Newsome at 8:00 p.m. on January 8th.
