On Thursday, Olathe West was able to grind out a solid victory over Gardner-Edgerton, taking the game 3-1.

Grace Yeager and Kaiya Finazzo were among the main playmakers for Olathe West as the former had 11 digs and two aces and the latter had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Yeager has posted over her last six matchups.
They weren't the only good servers: Olathe West was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive contests.

Olathe West's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Blue Valley West, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 16-2.

However, it's not like Blue Valley West struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
