Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Vikings vs. Loganville Christian Academy Lions

The Lakeside Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Loganville Christian Academy Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Lakeside's tournament run continued when they took on Eagle's Landing on Saturday. Lakeside fell 66-54 to Eagle's Landing. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 413th, while the Eagles are ranked 96th).

Lakeside might have lost, but man, Shaan Fritz was a machine: he went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points and six assists. Those 15 points gave Fritz a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Bennion, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loganville Christian Academy). They blew past The Weber School 69-39 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Loganville Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
