Basketball Recap: School of the Woods Takes a Loss

School of the Woods suffered their biggest loss since February 13, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 45-14 defeat at the hands of Cornerstone Christian Academy. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with Cornerstone Christian Academy: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the defeat, School of the Woods saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gabi Guillen posted six points.

School of the Woods now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Humble Christian the next time they take the court. School of the Woods will head out to face Humble Christian at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, while Cornerstone Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
