North Hunterdon came into Monday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Phillipsburg Stateliners 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since May 29, 2024.

Brandon Suler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because North Hunterdon is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-5 otherwise.

At the plate, North Hunterdon let Zach Fronio and Alex Famolari run wild. Fronio scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Famolari scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
