Softball Game Preview: Erskine Academy Eagles vs. Morse Shipbuilders

The Erskine Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Morse Shipbuilders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Erskine Academy couldn't beat Gardiner on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the seventh inning. The Eagles fell 15-11 to the Tigers.

Madison Griffiths was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Parise, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Morse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to Medomak Valley. That's two games in a row now that the Shipbuilders have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Morse's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Erskine Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Erskine Academy's way against Morse when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Erskine Academy made off with an 11-5 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Shipbuilders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
