Softball Recap: Kenosha Tremper Gets the Win

Kenosha Tremper won the last time they faced Racine Case and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 8-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Sophia Murphy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off 12 hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kenosha Tremper let Camille Sporer and Finley Koziol run wild. Sporer went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Koziol got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Sporer a new career-high. Aubrey Juga also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Kenosha Tremper was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Kenosha Tremper's record is now 5-7. As for Racine Case, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Coming up, Kenosha Tremper will challenge Wilmot at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Racine Case, they will head out on the road to face off against Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sabers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
