Basketball Recap: Satellite Victorious

Satellite won the last time they faced Eau Gallie and things went their way on Friday too. The Satellite Scorpions escaped with a win against the Eau Gallie Commodores by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.

Leading Satellite to victory were K'Dnce Cataldo and Christian Mcphilamy. Cataldo posted 22 points, while Mcphilamy put up 12 points. The match was Cataldo's third in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Eau Gallie lost, don't look at Quentin Hardin. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 15 en route to 21 points. That's the most points Hardin has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cohin Worthy, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points.

Satellite's record is now 7-9. As for Eau Gallie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Satellite wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-42 loss against Bayside on the 22nd. Eau Gallie has also already played their next matchup, a 50-44 defeat against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 23rd.
