            Basketball Recap: Mountain View Bruins vs. Payson Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  63-43 to the Payson Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  47-46  back in January.
 Loss or not, Mountain View got some senior leadership from  Coleman Pearson and  Jaxson Hockersmith.  Pearson  went 5 for 10  en route to 12 points, while  Hockersmith  posted ten  points. Another player making a difference was  Hunter Kaopua, who  had five  points.
Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Payson, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will welcome Provo  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Mountain View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3  points per game  this season. As for Payson, they will be playing at home against Uintah  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The timing is sure in Payson's favor as the  team sits on three straight wins at home while Uintah has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
