Basketball Game Preview: P.K. Yonge Blue Wave vs. Godby Cougars

The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave will square off against the Godby Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

P.K. Yonge took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 56-30 margin over Santa Fe.

Matilda Parrish was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Those 23 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jada Adderly, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Godby made easy work of Bay on Thursday and carried off a 62-36 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 26 points or more this season.

Godby has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33 points. As for P.K. Yonge, they pushed their record up to 5-18 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
