Basketball Recap: Palmview Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

There's no place like home for Palmview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Cigarroa Toros by a score of 64-57 on Tuesday. For the Lobos, this counts as revenge for the 50-42 win the Toros walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Jose L Gonzalez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 13 en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Leo Rivero, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Palmview has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Cigarroa, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Palmview will face off against Juarez-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palmview is facing Juarez-Lincoln at the right time seeing as Juarez-Lincoln is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Cigarroa, they will take on Rio Grande City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
