Tomball Memorial has gone 8-1 against Magnolia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tomball Memorial Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Magnolia Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It was a proper cat-fight when Tomball Memorial challenged Klein Oak on Friday. Tomball Memorial took a hard 54-35 fall against Klein Oak.

Meanwhile, Magnolia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 57-33 to Klein Oak. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 894th, while the Panthers are ranked 225th).

Tomball Memorial's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 19-4. As for Magnolia, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Tomball Memorial took their victory against Magnolia in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 48-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tomball Memorial since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
