Basketball Recap: Yeshiva Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calverton, Yeshiva was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past Barrie 73-38. With Yeshiva ahead 49-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Despite the defeat, Barrie saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brandon Adams, Jr. went 6 of 8 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rawle Tapper-Howard, who posted six points and five steals.

Yeshiva pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.3 points. As for Barrie, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yeshiva will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against The Lab School of Washington at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Barrie, they will host Don Bosco Cristo Rey at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Don Bosco Cristo Rey has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
