Softball Recap: Honaker Comes Up Short

John Battle hit Honaker with a four-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Honaker saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Rose, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Honaker has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for John Battle, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
