Coastal Christian waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Orcutt Academy Spartans. The Conquerors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.
Brooke Canaday paced Coastal Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Canaday got some help from Mylee Neuschafer and her 16 assists. Canaday also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Katie Colwell, racking up three apiece.
Coastal Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Orcutt Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Coastal Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Villanova Prep on the 8th. As for Orcutt Academy, they will host Mission College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
