Basketball Game Preview: Gray's Creek Bears vs. Harnett Central Trojans

The Gray's Creek Bears just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Harnett Central Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gray's Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Gray's Creek is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Jack Britt on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bears were beaten by the Buccaneers 70-43. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Harnett Central and Clayton, and Clayton kept the tradition alive. The Trojans took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets on Monday.

Gray's Creek will have to contain Rylan Beasley as he made an impact in Harnett Central's last game. He dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Beasley is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 64% in the last four games he's played. King Murdock was another key player, putting up 13 points and six boards.

Harnett Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gray's Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
