Jones Made His Presence Known in St. Petersburg's 33-28 Loss

Starting off the list is St. Petersburg's Jeffery Jones, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jones rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 75 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards.

With the loss, St. Petersburg broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. Jones and St. Petersburg will stay at home for another week and welcome Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Xayasongkham must have Countryside's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Xayasongkham last faced the Cougars back in October of 2023, he forced a fumble, made eight total tackles, and defended seven passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Keatin Emener Turns in Season-Best Performance

Northeast was led to victory by Keatin Emener, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Emener rushed for 12 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 137 yards and a touchdown.

With the win, Northeast broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. Emener and Northeast will square off against Southeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
