Baseball Recap: Fuqua Falcons vs. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights
After flying high against Grove Christian School last Thursday, Fuqua came back down to earth. The Fuqua Falcons came up short against the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Josh Simon was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Simon was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two stolen bases. Simon is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
Simon wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Fowlkes, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Fuqua now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fuqua will take on Cumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will square off against Randolph-Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
