Baseball Game Preview: Attica Red Ramblers vs. Cissna Park Timberwolves

The Attica Red Ramblers will head out on the road to challenge the Cissna Park Timberwolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, Attica didn't have quite enough to beat South Vermillion and fell 7-6.

Dane Goris made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Blankenship, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cissna Park's offense. They came up short against Watseka on Tuesday, falling 10-0.

Cissna Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Attica, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Attica suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Cissna Park when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Red Ramblers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
