The Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the John Paul II Catholic Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Arendell Parrott Academy turned things around against Wayne Country Day last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 9-0 victory. It was an even better day for Josie Wilson as she scored six goals for her team.

Meanwhile, while the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was John Paul II Catholic who was credited with the win last Wednesday. The Saints got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to Greenfield's one. The victory was all the more spectacular given John Paul II Catholic's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Greenfield are ranked 117th).

The win made it two in a row for John Paul II Catholic and bumps their season record up to 7-9. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, their record is now 6-11.

Arendell Parrott Academy skirted past John Paul II Catholic 2-1 when the teams last played on April 1st. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
