Volleyball Recap: Maxwell Comes Up Short

Maxwell lost against Brady on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Eagles.

While Maxwell was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23.

Kristyn Cheek paced Maxwell's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cheek got some help from Emory Christensen and her 13 assists.

Brady can attribute much of their success to Hallie Johnson, who had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Johnson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Maxwell dropped their record down to 10-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Brady, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maxwell will welcome Mullen on Friday. As for Brady, they will be playing at home against Maywood/Hayes Center on Tuesday.
