Wai'anae's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jessie Monderen, who scored 14 points. Karmashjay Westbrook-cueto was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
'Aiea's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.2 points per game. As for Wai'anae, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. 'Aiea will challenge Kapolei at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wai'anae, they will head out on the road to face off against Waialua at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
