Kettle Run has no trouble against Skyline

Recap: Kettle Run Cougars vs. Skyline Hawks

The Kettle Run Cougars's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Skyline with points to spare, taking the game 40-24. That's another feather in the cap for Kettle Run, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Erin Porter was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Kettle Run's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Prysock, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.

The victory got Kettle Run back to even at 4-4. As for Skyline, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kettle Run will be home for the holidays to greet Manassas Park at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Manassas Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Kettle Run is ranked 188th). Skyline will be home for the holidays to greet Strasburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Strasburg will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
