Broughton won the last time they faced Enloe and things went their way on Friday too. The Broughton Capitals walked away with a 58-49 win over the Enloe Eagles. Given the Capitals' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Eagles are ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Enloe lost, don't look at Gianni McIntire. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-10 to rack up 18 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of John Brown, who posted nine points.

Broughton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Enloe, they dropped their record down to 2-21 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Broughton and Enloe will both be playing Cardinal Gibbons the next time they take the court. Enloe will head out to face Cardinal Gibbons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Broughton will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
