Basketball Recap: Dickinson Victorious

Dickinson hadn't done well against Minot recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Dickinson Midgets had just enough and edged the Minot Magicians out 86-83. The win was some much needed relief for the Midgets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dickinson's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Minot, their loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dickinson will take on St. Mary's Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Dickinson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups. As for Minot, they will face off against Bismarck at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Bismarck will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Minot surely won't give up without a fight.
