Baseball Recap: Johnson County Comes Up Short

Johnson County fell victim to Sullivan East and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 8-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Longhorns were not able to get on the board.

Johnson County dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Sullivan East, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson County will host University School at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sullivan East, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chuckey-Doak at 1:00 p.m. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Black Knights have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
