Basketball Game Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Yuma Outlaws

The Brush Beetdiggers are taking a road trip to square off against the Yuma Outlaws at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brush will be strutting in after a victory while Yuma will be coming in after a loss.

Brush took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-43 win over Merino.

Meanwhile, Yuma faced Simla in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Yuma took a 72-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Simla. The Outlaws' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Brush's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Yuma, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Brush took a serious blow against Yuma in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 72-38. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Brush was down 42-18.
