Basketball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. The game between them and the Legacy Leopards didn't end well, with the Cooper Cougars falling 54-35. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 699th, while the Leopards are ranked 171st).

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Legacy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wylie the next time they take the court. Cooper will head out to face Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Legacy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th.
