Baseball Recap: Timpanogos Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Timpanogos had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Payson Lions as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

Timpanogos got a great performance from Corbin Hardy as he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Carter Hall was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cooper Hawkes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Timpanogos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.

Timpanogos pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Payson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
