Softball Recap: Highland Park Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highland Park can now relate to. They came up short against the Apple Valley Eagles on Monday, falling 12-2. The Scots were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

With the loss, Highland Park broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-9. As for Apple Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.
