Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emma Preuss and Olivia Urban Lead Bishop Mccort to Victory + How To Watch

Bishop McCort barely beat Chestnut Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crushers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Crushers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

One reason for the win was Bishop McCort's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-11, 25-9.

Bishop McCort was led to victory by Olivia Urban and Emma Preuss. Urban had seven aces and five digs, while Preuss had 12 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Urban has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Urban, who had five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Bishop McCort was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chestnut Ridge only served one.

Bishop McCort's win bumped their record up to 10-17-3. As for Chestnut Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19-5 record this season.

Bishop McCort will face off against Marion Center at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chestnut Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
