Basketball Recap: Hornbeck Comes Up Short

Hornbeck suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2025 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Buckeye Panthers 71-32. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Panthers are ranked 102nd).

Hornbeck's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Buckeye, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Hornbeck will venture away from home to square off against Pleasant Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buckeye, they will head out to challenge Leesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
