Softball Recap: Mogollon Comes Up Short

Mogollon came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Johns Redskins, falling 19-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mogollon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kindsey Porter, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Mogollon's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for St. Johns, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mogollon will venture away from home to challenge Superior at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Johns, they will head out to face off against Round Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
