Soccer Recap: DeKalb Takes a Loss

DeKalb came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-0 to the Carroll Chargers. While losing is never fun, DeKalb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Carroll are ranked eighth).

DeKalb's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Carroll, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-0-2 record this season.

DeKalb wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Huntington North on the 15th. As for Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Hamilton Southeastern on the 13th.
