Volleyball Recap: 13 Straight Home Victories for Castle

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri-West Hendricks, Castle was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Avon Orioles 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Castle took Avon into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 17-25, 22-25, 15-8.

Castle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karsyn Wilhelmus led the charge by getting 16 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Wilhelmus has posted since back in September of 2024.

Castle's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. As for Avon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Castle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Trinity Lutheran on the 16th. As for Avon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Center Grove on the 19th.
