Despite a strong season so far, Bear Creek has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost to the Heritage Eagles on the road by a 35-21 margin on Thursday. The Bears were down 35-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Bear Creek lost, don't look at Riley Wilson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 83 yards and one score, and also threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Bears' leading receiver Kamari May was Wilson's top target yet again, picking up 63 receiving yards, while also rushing for 43 yards.

Jamison Seese had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 307 yards and three TDs while completing 72% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground for Heritage. What's more, Seese racked up 152.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. A healthy portion of Seese's aerial production (101 yards to be exact) went to Cooper Schwartz, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-2. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
