St. Joseph Regional entered their tilt with Paramus Catholic on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Paladins by a score of 7-2. That's two games straight that the Green Knights have won by exactly five runs.

Matthew Tomassi tossed a big game, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Carter Grande was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Myles Gomez, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

St. Joseph Regional's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Paramus Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Regional will welcome Eastside at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Paramus Catholic, they will host Garfield at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
