Basketball Game Preview: Christ the King Crusaders vs. Corvian Community Cardinals

Christ the King has gone 3-0 against Corvian Community recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Christ the King Crusaders will be playing at home against the Corvian Community Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Christ the King's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.

On Tuesday, Christ the King was fully in charge, breezing past Mountain Island Charter 63-32. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Christ the King can attribute much of their success to Claire Broda, who posted 19 points. The dominant performance gave Broda a new career-high in points. Rosie Gorman was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Corvian Community had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Langtree Charter Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 52-34.

Christ the King's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points per game. As for Corvian Community, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Everything came up roses for Christ the King against Corvian Community in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-23 victory.
