Football Recap: Wayland Comes Up Short

Wayland was the 21-14 winner over Spring Lake when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Lakers on Friday, falling 35-14.

Wayland's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Spring Lake, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Wayland will welcome West Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Spring Lake, they will challenge Forest Hills Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
