King/Drew's matchup on Thursday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They blew past the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears 4-1. Considering the Golden Eagles have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

King/Drew's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for Port of Los Angeles, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the King/Drew take on the Stella High Charter Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Port of Los Angeles, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bishop Montgomery at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
