Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy lost against Rio Americano back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Raiders. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Gabriella Groft paced Kennedy's offense, picking up two kills. Groft got some help from Scarlett Ohara and her three assists.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Rio Americano, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Twelve Bridges on the 27th. As for Rio Americano, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Nevada Union on the 27th.
