Basketball Recap: Coalfield Takes a Loss

Coalfield lost against Wartburg Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coalfield Yellow Jackets took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wartburg Central Bulldogs. The Yellow Jackets' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Coalfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wartburg Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Coalfield will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Greenback at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Wartburg Central and Meigs County will round out the year against one another at at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
