Baseball Recap: Granby Comes Up Short

Granby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ludlow Lions. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Rams' highest-scoring match to date.

Gavin Kennedy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Carillon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Granby's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ludlow, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Granby will face off against Hampshire Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ludlow, they will take on Hopkins Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
