Basketball Recap: West Logan Christian Academy Takes a Loss

West Logan Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 84-51 loss at the hands of the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors. West Logan Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mount Hope Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Leading Mount Hope Christian Academy to victory were RYAN PERRY and TALAN CARON. PERRY dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while CARON went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave PERRY a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of MALACHI FLOHR, who posted 12 points along with five assists and three steals.

West Logan Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Logan Christian Academy will face off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Baptist Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.4 points per game this season. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they will challenge Victory Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Hope Christian Academy also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 54.7 points per game.
